The cheapest group price and the most expensive private price can refer to almost the same three-day route. The difference is usually who pays for the vehicle, not a dramatic change in accommodation or sightseeing.
Can a Tour Guarantee Water in Kel-Suu?
No. A tour can organise the vehicle, border permit, accommodation and access to the valley. It cannot guarantee that Kel-Suu will look exactly like the turquoise lake shown in promotional photographs.
Water enters and drains through a complex natural system, and the visible level can change significantly. In some periods the lake becomes smaller or nearly disappears, exposing a broad rocky basin between the cliffs.

It is the most complete horse-riding option, but also the most specialised. A traveller who only wants to see both lakes may be better served by an organised 4×4 circuit rather than spending more than a week riding.
Choose it for: a dedicated riding holiday with two high-altitude lake regions.

How Much Time Is Spent Driving?
Kel-Suu is not a quick extension from Naryn. The road toward Kok-Kiya includes rough and slow sections, and weather can change the journey considerably.
